About The Project
During the 2016/2017 Northern Territory school holidays, PC Labs was contacted by the IT Manager for Nhulunbuy Primary School asking for help to install their new networking equipment.
The school had been given eight brand new Cisco network switches, but they had arrived unconfigured and needed to be setup to run on the schools department managed network. To make matters more interesting some network cabinets needed to be replaced as well. All of this also needed to take place within the holiday period to ensure minimal disruption to the school.
PC Labs with guidance from the department of education were able to install all eight network switches and configure the network to accept them in less than a day while managing the now redundant switch and network equipment in an environmentally friendly manner.
